Our History
The Spartan culture of ancient Greece at the height of their power around 431BC was centred on loyalty to state and service to their community. The Spartan symbol became known as a symbol of courage, innovation, initiative and determination, qualities that are strong in our business, brand ambassadors and team culture today.
Our heritage in manufacturing began in 1953 where we continued to develop our reputation of excellence and innovation. Today, we are known as a designer and manufacturer of contemporary and innovative products, supporting sporting communities around the world and the development of grass roots sport.
We are passionate about sport and we are dedicated to our customers individual needs.
Our Products
Spartan implemented in 2018 a complete business restructure and business transformation programme supported with significant capital investment by a small group of private investors. An Australian company with a global network, led by a small dynamic very experienced leadership team.
Our primary focus is sport for the community.
Our product range is diverse and can be developed to suit any clubs, school or corporate marketing needs.
Our range includes a wide range of sporting activities starting with rugby, including football, touch football, rugby league, cricket, volleyball, basketball, netball and hockey and all sports apparel & teamwear associated with these sports.
Our product range today also includes fitness, health and well being products and solutions and a broad range of online educational services for all of these sports.
Our Cricket brand is recognised as one of the world’s most exciting and innovative brands. A brand that boasts one of the worlds most explosive batsman, Chris Gayle.
Our Spartan Rugby brand includes one of the finest rugby players who has represented our country, rugby’s finest son, Mark Ella (AM), who leads the development, client support and business leadership of our rugby division to our customers.
Today our Spartan product range and brand is active in a wide range of community clubs and 1st grade clubs using our match and training products and apparel solutions throughout NSW and are the offical club ball for the Manly Marlins, Manly Mermaids, Gordon Rugby, Bowral Cricket, Manly Cricket and Newcastle Wildfires just to name a few.
As a member of our Spartan family our customers have access to all our educational training, fitness and health programmes designed by Jock Campbell, a specialist athletic and sports skills coach in all sports, who leads the Spartan Performance Division and our Spartan Academy developmental programmes.
